There should be a button on the back to "send/receive."
If not, pull the battery and it should reset.

You can try taking it into a different room - maybe it can't pick up the signal where it's at. Good luck!
If your "atomic wall clock" is the same model as my friend's, it sets itself according to received WWV radio signals. You can adjust which time zone you're in, but that's it. The only way to turn it "off" is to remove the batteries, then it can't do anything at all......
